Day 1
Paro – Thimphu (2.5hrs)
Get ready to embark on an unforgettable journey as you land at Paro International Airport, where our friendly team will be waiting to greet you. From there, we’ll make our way to Thimphu, the vibrant capital city of Bhutan. Depending on when we arrive, we’ll either dive straight into exploring the sights and sounds of Thimphu or take the evening to discover the town’s unique charm.
Day 2
Thimphu (3-4 Hrs)
Get ready for an exhilarating day filled with adventure and spirituality as we kick off our morning with not one, but two amazing hikes – Tango and Cheri! The journey begins with a visit to the famous Tango Monastery, nestled in the heart of peaceful forests. From there, we’ll make our way to the historic Cheri Monastery, the first of its kind in Bhutan, dating back to 1620. Along the way, we’ll be treated to breathtaking landscapes, lush greenery, and the serene melody of nature, creating a perfect harmony of thrill and spirituality. The Cheri hike in Thimphu offers a scenic trek to the ancient Cheri Monastery, where we’ll be surrounded by lush forests and awe-inspiring vistas. This peaceful hike is not only a feast for the eyes but also a glimpse into Bhutan’s rich spiritual and cultural heritage. And that’s not all! After our exciting hikes, we’ll enjoy a packed lunch at the base of Cheri Monastery before diving into a day filled with visits to iconic sites such as the majestic Buddha Dordenma Statue, the fascinating Takin’s Preserve, and the vibrant CSI market. Get ready for a day of adventure, spirituality, and unforgettable experiences!
Day 3
Thimphu – Paro – Bumdra Monastery (3500m)
As the sun rises, we embark on our adventure to Sang Choekor Monastery in Paro, kicking off our Bumdra hike! For 3-4 hours, we trudge through the stunning wilderness towards the base camp in Bumdra. The journey from Sang Chokor to Bumdra takes us through Bhutan’s unspoiled nature. We begin at the sacred Sang Chokor Buddhist College and ascend through lush forests of pine and rhododendron, treating our eyes to awe-inspiring vistas of the Paro Valley. Our trek culminates at the Bumdra Monastery, also known as the Cave of a Thousand Prayers, nestled high on a mountain ridge. This adventure seamlessly weaves spiritual discovery with the exhilaration of high-altitude trekking, offering a truly remarkable experience immersed in the natural splendour of Bhutan. The rest of the day is spent visiting the Monastery in Bumdra and in the camp.
Day 4
Bumdra- Tiger’s Nest (2-3 Hrs)
After morning breakfast we descend down towards the iconic Tiger’s Nest. The trail runs through lush forest, greenery and breathtaking views. Along the way, we stop by several smaller monasteries and spiritual sites. We visit the Tiger’s Nest, roughly 3,120m perched on a cliffside. Spend some time here, as this will be the highlight of your trip. Upon descending town to the base, our team will be ready to receive you and drive you to your hotel. The evening will be spent with a Bhutanese Hot Stone bath and strolling Paro Town. We can visit the famous Kichu Lhakhang, and the Paro Ta Dzong if time permits.
